This time we’re taking a look at how the HTC Inspire 4G stacks up in a Quadrant benchmark test. The final Quadrant score for the HTC Inspire 4G came in at [...]

Monday 10 January 2011 @ 12:43 pm
With all the excitement of CES last week, we kinda forgot that Sprint launched the HTC EVO Shift 4G.  The new WiMax enabled 4G handset is pretty similar to the HTC Desire Z, though it sports a slightly smaller 3.6 inch display and a pretty standard sliding screen.   The Sprint HTC EVO Shift 4G [...]

HTC Lexikon and HTC Bee specs hit the web

Monday 16 August 2010 @ 2:53 pm

Preliminary specifications for the HTC Bee and HTC Lexikon surfaced over the weekend.  The HTC Bee , which is expected to land on Verizon  and Cellular South will feature a 3.2” QVGA display, 528 MHz Qualcomm processor, 1300 mAh battery , 5MP camera with flash, Android 2.2 and HTC Sense.  From there details, the HTC Bee is looking to be a CDMA variant of the HTC Wildfire which launched in Europe earlier this summer.  We’ll be a little perplexed if the HTC Bee does actually show up on Verizon’s network.  Yes, it’s nice to have an entry level handset, but with a QVGA display, the HTC Bee’s only advantage over the retired DROID Eris will be the 5MP camera with flash.

The HTC Lexikon looks to be a little more impressive with a 3.8” WVGA display (the first 3.8” display from HTC), QWERY keyboard, 800 MHz underclocked MSM7630 Snapdragon processor, 5MP camera, Android 2.2, with HTC’s Sense UI.  This may be the first time we are hearing the HTC Lexikon name, but the specs match up pretty nicely with what we’re expecting the HTC Vision to feature.

Video: HTC Desire HD makers its HD debut

Monday 9 August 2010 @ 8:50 am

It’s been less than 48 hours since the first blurry cam images of the HTC Desire HD surfaced on the web and how we have for great HD video of the handset.  Solo Palmari has posted up a short clip on their YouTube channel which shows off the HTC Desire HD’s new body.  The internals of the HTC Desire may be pretty similar to the HTC EVO 4G, but the uni-body aluminum shell that wraps around the handset gives the Desire HTC a look which more closely resembles that of the HD2.

In our last post we mentioned that the HTC Desire HD would not feature a front facing camera.  We may actually have to retract that statement since the video reveals a little block dot on the right of the speaker grill which was not really visible in the previous image that we spotted.

First picture of upcoming HTC Desire HD hits the web

Saturday 7 August 2010 @ 1:32 pm

When we first heard about the upcoming HTC Desire HD (aka HTC Ace), we came to the conclusion that it would be a GSM version of the HTC EVO 4G for the European market. Now, the first picture of the HTC Desire HD has surfaced, proving that we were on the right track. The HTC Desire HD features a 4.3 inch display, 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 8MP camera with 720p video recording, all running on Android 2.2

The HTC Desire HD is expected to launch in October and will most likely show up on all major EU and UK carriers. Though the HTC Desire HD does look to be a simple GSM replica of the HTC EVO, it will feature a few tricks its CDMA counterpart does not enjoy (yet).

  • Face tracking
  • SRS audio technology
  • Aluminum body
  • Xvid video codec suppor
