The download link on the site went down sometime today, and although lot’s of people were reporting success with the procedure, there seemed to be a fair share of problems with Samsung [...]

HTC is a major force in the Windows Phone arena, with five out of ten actual devices that have been brought to market at the moment. That number doesn’t take in carrier branded derivatives like the HTC Arrive,  a CDMA version for the Sprint network. We’ve already seen video of the Arrive, and it’ll ship [...]

HTC Mozart gets caught on video, more specs revealed

Tuesday 21 September 2010 @ 8:35 am

HTC still has not unveiled their Windows phone 7 lineup, but a new leak gives us another peak at the HTC Mozart.  Along with the short video clip, we now have a few more details on internal handset specifications.  HTC’s Mozart is expected to launch with a 1 GHz Qualcomm QSD 8250, 3.7 inch WVGA Super TFT LCD display, 512 MB of ROM, 576 MB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, 1300 mAh battery and an 8 mega pixel camera with Xenon flash.  The spec breakdown of the HTC Mozart makes it look like HTC has simply retooled an HTC Desire to run Windows Phone 7, but we can assure you that the two phones will definitely give consumers two unique experiences.

With the expected launch of Windows Phone 7 pegged for the end of October, we should expect to see a few more leaks before then.  We’re hoping HTC of Microsoft will be throwing a huge party to usher in the new era of Windows Phone 7.

See what HTC has dreamt up, press event scheduled for September 15

Friday 13 August 2010 @ 9:05 am

If you’re dying to know what HTC has been working on for the past few months, we suggest you mark September 15th on your calendar.  HTC has just send out invitations to the media to a press event they will be hosting on September 15th in London.  As usual, no details about the event have been revealed, but we’re pretty sure that HTC will be showing off at least a few different Android and Windows Phone 7 devices.  The date does fall pretty close to the expected launch of the HTC Vanguard on T-Mobile USA, but HTC typically does not announce U.S. specific devices at their international press events.  That being said, the HTC Vanguard could be launch in both the U.S. and EU just like the HTC Dream.

Other phones we could expect to see unveiled at HTC’s London event include the HTC Ace (Desire HD), HTC Mozart, HTC Vision, HTC Schubert, and the HTC Glacier.  If that list looks a bit long, keep in mind that HTC is expected to unveil 6 new phones and ship over 8 million units in Q4 alone.

HTC expected to ship 8.5 million phones in Q4 with the help of 6 new handsets

Friday 16 July 2010 @ 8:05 am

Though HTC has been plagued with component shortages for the HTC Desire, EVO 4G, and DROID Incredible over the past few months, HTC is hoping to finish out the year with an incredibly strong fourth quarter.  Industry sources are reporting that HTC is planning to introduce a total of six new handsets in Q4 which will help them boost their sale numbers for the year and ship nearly 8.5 million phone in the fourth quarter alone.

HTC’s new handset lineup will most likely include the HTC Vision, Vanguard, and Emerald running on Android along with the HTC Mondrian, and Mozart which are expected to be running Microsoft’s new Windows Phone 7 platform.  The HTC Ace (HTC Desire HD) isn’t included in the list since it is expected to go on sale some time in Q3.

HTC has already experienced two amazing quarters this year, beating their own and analyst expectations both times.  With six new phones on the horizon, we are hoping that HTC has finally been able to sort out their component supply issues, which could be their only obstacle in reaching their sales target.
