HTC Leo aka Touch HD 2 has multitouch on Opera 9.7

Sunday 27 September 2009 @ 1:04 pm

The uberawesome guys at wmpowerusers.com posted the following today:

Thanks to the latest Leo ROM leaked on to the interwebs recently, I’ve managed to gleam some new information…

The Leo will ship with Opera 9.7 build 35411.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\MASD]
“Opera_Browser”=”9_70_35411_0″

By default, it will have PinchAndZoom enabled – yes, it’s going to be a multitouch browser. All that rubbish about PIE not supporting it is silly, especially since Opera Mobile is a far better browser.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Opera\Defaults]
“PinchAndZoomEnable”=dword:00000001

There you have it folks, HTC Leo aka HTC Touch HD will support multitouch zooming in the browser, pretty awesome news if you ask me. There is some more information extracted from the ROM, go to wmpoweruser and find out yourself.

HTC Develops Twitter tab for Touch Flo 3D

Thursday 24 September 2009 @ 5:58 am

HTC has developed a Twitter tab for the well known windows mobile interface; Touch Flo 3D. The twitter tab comes from a HTC Leo rom that was leaked. A rom developer at XDA-Developers has managed to put this new version of Touch Flo 3D in a custom rom for the Touch Pro 2.

It’s still a mystery what updates the upcoming official updates for the Diamond 2 and the Touch Pro 2 will have, version wise of Touch Flo 3D. One thing is for sure, the windows version of ‘Sense UI’ is here to stay, and will continue to improve, good job HTC, keep it up!

HTC Leo spotted again!

Monday 21 September 2009 @ 2:48 am

Found a link to techblog site, it’s not in English but see if you can make something of the Google translation. All these HTC Leo sightings makes me wonder when the device will be out. Hopefully soon, I can’t wait for the reviews to stream in. Looking great so far HTC, here’s hope for proper battery life.
